March 8th is World Kidney Day

Every March is National Kidney Month and Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a worldwide public health problem. This year World Kidney Day and International Women's Day will be celebrated on March 8 2018! 

Did you know that CKD affects approximately 195 million women worldwide and it is currently the 8th leading cause of death in women, with close to 600,000 deaths each year according to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation?

Let's join other organizations to make an impact on World Kidney Day and raise awareness about Kidney Disease!

A big thank you to George Lopez and Sheryl Underwood for taking the time to give back to San Fernando Elementary School. This year was especially wonderful because George was recognized by The Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education for his lifelong commitment to children of the San Fernando Valley.
