George Lopez

George Lopez is Co-Founder and Director of The George Lopez Foundation.  Mr. Lopez has channeled his charitable energy in the nonprofit world to improve and save the lives of people confronting the challenges of chronic kidney conditions.  One of the entertainment industry’s premier comedic talents, Mr. Lopez serves as Founder and Principal of TRAVIESO PRODUCTIONS, a film and television production company.  Time Magazine recognized Mr. Lopez as one of “The 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America”, Harvard University honored his artistic work and charitable endeavors with its “Artist of the Year and Humanitarian Award”, The ADCOLOR Industry Coalition honored George Lopez with The All-Star Award, and People For the American Way bestowed its “Spirit of Liberty Award” on him.


Linda D. Small

Linda D. Small is the Director/CFO/Secretary/Executive Director of The George Lopez Foundation. Her consistent, compassionate commitment to improving lives in the Los Angeles community includes 24-years as a member of the Junior League of Los Angeles where Ms. Small served as the President and CEO, Development Director and Training Director.  She began her eight years of service with the National Kidney Foundation of Southern California and Southern Nevada in 2002 as Development Director.  Within two years Ms. Small became the Executive Director where she remained until she left to head The Lopez Foundation. Linda is a highly respected, successful leader in the not-for-profit sector.


Dr. Lilly Barba

Lilly Barba is a Director of The George Lopez Foundation.  Dr. Barba received her medical training at the State University of New York-Buffalo, and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at USC Medical Center followed by fellowship training in Nephrology and Hypertension at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California.


Lawrence J. Kohl

Lawrence J Kohl is a Director of the George Lopez Foundation since its inception. Mr. Kohl is also on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica since 2005 where he is a member of both the Investment Committee and the Advancement Committee. Mr. Kohl is also a long-term supporter and former Board member of The Cayton Children’s Museum formerly known as the Zimmer Children’s Museum. Mr. Kohl is a philanthropic supporter of many other charities and educational institutions in Los Angeles, around the United States, and internationally. Mr. Kohl is also a member of the Investment Committee, a Board Member, and a Principal with his Family Office - focused on Investments and Charitable efforts.

As Founder and CEO of Atomic3D, Inc. Mr. Kohl was responsible for overseeing software development, animation production, and content distribution. Previously Mr. Kohl worked for Enterprise Partners, LLC as an Associate and Limited Partner - a venture capital firm focused on technology investing, biotech, and other opportunistic investment opportunities.

Mr. Kohl has an MBA from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and a BA from Kendall College in Chicago, Illinois. Married with four children Mr. Kohl lives in Santa Monica, California.


Stacey Kohl

Stacey Kohl is a Director of the George Lopez Foundation. As a businesswoman, Stacey Kohl was the creator behind the luxurious children’s clothing line, Bloomlove found in the finest boutiques and department stores including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and many others. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Stacey is married to Larry Kohl, mother to Elizabeth and step-mother to Julia, Max and Jason. In her philanthropic pursuits, Stacey Kohl has made a point of focusing on supporting children with special needs. At the age of 11, she lost her sister Cori at 13 to kidney disease. This is the driving force behind the George Lopez Foundation and the wonderful summer and fall camps where underprivileged kids with serious medical conditions get to experience the joy of camp and receive on-site medical attention. Stacey is involved with many other charities and is dedicated to making a positive impact in helping others to create a better world and make a difference.


Nick Nuciforo

Nick Nuciforo is head Comedy Touring department and a partner at United Talent Agency. Nuciforo oversees the agency’s booking and touring operations. He also works across all of UTA’s departments to identify marketing and cross-promotional opportunities for comedy clients, as well as comedy-related opportunities for the agency’s talent and corporate clientele. He was the first executive within all the major agencies to build a dedicated international comedy touring division, which has remained at the forefront of the comedy landscape since its inception.

Nuciforo is an industry veteran who is widely recognized as one of comedy touring’s preeminent executives. He represents some of the world’s most beloved comedic talents working today, including Nate Bargatze, Whitney Cummings, Will Ferrell, Flight of the Conchords, Jeff Foxworthy, Jim Gaffigan, Nikki Glaser, Chelsea Handler, Impractical Jokers, Jim Jefferies, Bert Kreischer, George Lopez, Sebastian Maniscalco, Seth Meyers, Leeanne Morgan, Russell Peters, Sarah Silverman, The Lonely Island and Taylor Tomlinson. He also oversees podcast and non-traditional touring acts like Crime Junkie, Tiny Meat Gang Live, Unspeakable, and more.

Prior to joining UTA, Nuciforo founded CAA’s Comedy Touring division. During that time, he created several massive tours and festivals including the Baseball Hall of Fame Tour, Funny or Die’s Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival, and the Wild West Comedy Festival. He previously ran APA’s Comedy Touring department, where he helped launch the careers of clients such as Lewis Black, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White. Earlier, he worked at boutique talent agency Irvin Arthur Associates, where he was quickly promoted to agent. He started his career working at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

Nuciforo is considered an expert in the comedy touring space and has been featured on panels and conferences such as Pollstar, IEBA, Billboard and SXSW. He currently sits on the board of the George Lopez foundation.

A resident of Los Angeles, California, Nuciforo is married and has two young sons.


Laura LaRocca

Laura LaRocca is a Director of The George Lopez Foundation. Laura LaRocca has established herself as a force in the beauty industry.  A born entrepreneur with the kind of drive it takes to build a multi-million dollar company from the ground up, Laura’s business acumen has been taking shape since before she can remember.  After graduating from the University of Wisconsin and the Aveda Institute, Laura worked in the entertainment industry as a Managing Hair Stylist for print media, movies and hit television shows such as Felicity and Scrubs.   In 1998 she became Co-Founder/CEO of DuWop – one of the most innovative brands in the beauty industry.  Laura grew the brand from an idea to $20 million in annual sales. Laura is leading the personal care industry as the CEO of LaRocca Skincare with a focus of growing sales, giving back to the community and protecting the environment.
