Successful Kidney Camp Weekend

We had an amazing Fall Family Weekend camp for our kidney kids. Special thanks to Stacey and Larry Kohl and all of our wonderful supporters to help us create positive, permanent change for underprivileged children, adults, and military families confronting challenges in education and health, as well as increasing community awareness about kidney disease and organ donation. Fall Family Weekend at Kidney Camp

One of the goals of the George Lopez Foundation is to help children find positive change in the face of educational and health challenges. That's why we love our kidney camp designed for children with serious medical conditions and their families. The camp equips children with the proper tools to feel more independent and the best part, they get to make friends for life. To make a donation, click here!

Art "Chicano Soul" Meza is a photographer born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He infuses elements of his daily surroundings, love for classic car and lowrider culture and pride of his Chicano upbringing to produce images with what he calls "Chicano Soul". You can find over 50 of those images in his new book, Lowriting. Having been diagnosed with PKD as a kid and having a dad who spent years on dialysis waiting for a kidney transplant, Meza knows how important it is to raise awareness about kidney disease and organ donation.
