World Kidney Day and it's time to Dance
The Word Kidney Day organization is inviting everyone from around the globe, from all cultures and ages to get up and get moving to celebrate their kidneys. The kidneys are vital organs and we should take special care of because they are crucial to our overall health. Did you know your kidneys help:
- Regulate water
- Remove waste products and help to balance the body's minerals
- Produce hormones
Join the "Move Your Feet" online action and get moving!
- Take a picture of your feet in action
- Share it on your social media accounts with the hashtag #moveyourfeet4wkd
- Be creative, keep active and involve your friends and family!

George Lopez awarded President's Medal by ASN
At Kidney Week 2015, the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) presented the President's Medal to award-winning actor, comedian and philanthropist George Lopez. A kidney transplant recipient, Mr. Lopez is being recognized for his leadership in raising awareness of kidney health issues and his dedication to improving the lives of those burdened by kidney diseases, through the work of the George Lopez Foundation.
